Wednesday 23 April 2014 -- PACS-S

    • Flux calibration accuracies

  • 10:00 - 11:00 CEST Analysing SPIRE sparse observations (especially weak lines) and comparing with the photometer (R. Hopwood) Presentation PDF
    • Background subtraction, Line fitting script, Sinc-Gauss profile, apodization, bootstrap/jack-knife testing, comparing with the photometer
  • 11:30 - 12:30 CEST Application of the SPIRE Semi-Extended Correction tool for SPIRE-S observations (E. Polehampton) Presentation PDF, script
    • Identify the signature of extended source. Using SECT and setting/choosing the source model. Effect of the reference beam on the result and using that to compare to other telescope data.
  • 14:00 - 15:00 CEST Analysing SPIRE Spectral Mapping Observations (I. Valtchanov) Presentation PDF
    • Foreground/background subtraction, using the convolution mapper, cube line fitting and line maps. Comparing with the photometer.
  • 15:30 - 16:30 CEST Question and answer session, problem solving (E. Polehampton, R. Hopwood, I. Valtchanov).
