The first AOR example attempts to illustrate how to design a large area deep mapping measurement using the PACS Photometry AOT. Our goal is to make a two band extragalactic survey in the Locman Hole over a 30 by 30 arcminute region down to 1.5 mJy point source sensitivity.
In this challenging example, we are going to design a deep observation that will cover a relatively large area on the sky. The suitable observing mode for this is the unchopped scan map mode.Start HSpot, the start-up main HSpot window should appear. Check your network connectivity in the bottom green line. In order to get the complete HSpot services available you need a live connection indicated with "Net Up" icon.
With any Herschel AOT the first step is to enter target information. The reference position provided in the target dialogue has to refer to the map geometrical central position.
