This button allows you to choose a broad science category or categories into which you feel your proposal fits from the broad Extragalactic, Galactic, or Solar System headings (Figure 16.10, “Proposal tool science categories”). Note that these are not "keywords". Within each broad category you can select a maximum of one sub-category from each dropdown menu. If your proposal overlaps, for example, both Galactic and extragalactic astronomy it is permissible to select a sub-category from each.

When you have finished choosing the appropriate Science Category, click the "OK" button. Your choices will be shown on the Proposal Submission Tool Main Window as shown in Figure 16.11, “Proposal tool Science Justification dialogue”.
