PACS data processing documentation

This page contains links to public data processing documentation for the PACS instrument. The documentation presented here is complementary and extending the HIPE on-line help.

PACS observing modes and calibration

• PACS instrument and calibration web pages provide up-to-date information on the instrument observing modes, calibration accuracies and known issues.

PACS photometer data reduction

• The very latest version of the PDRG, which can be used with HIPE track 8, is provided in PDF format here: PDRG version 9 (Nov 2011). This version of the PDRG includes recent changes to the pipeline scripts and data reduction advice, and is taken from the very latest build of the very latest track of HIPE. Note that with PDFs, document links will not work. This document includes the latest information on MADmap and deglitching.
• The PACS Pipeline Reference manual is no longer necessary; the version 9 (and later) PDRG contains all the information that was before in the PPR. Nonetheless, the PPR's last published version (which can be used with HIPE track 7), is still accessible in PDF format here: PPR version 5 (Jun 2011).

The PACS Spectrometer
