Programme for the Herschel Lessons Learned Meeting: "Operations from Cradle to Grave"
May 28-30, 2013 @ESAC
Room B5
The meeting emphasises discussion.
Discussion will be fuelled by proposed "Lessons" recorded before (and during; and after) the meeting. at:
[There are subsidiary pages maintained by the ICCs, that should later be ported to the central system, at:
The programme will be expanded into greater detail by the Session Moderators.
The duties of the moderator go far beyond the duties of a normal session chair in a conference.
The session moderator :==>
- Reports to the HSOCG through the HSCOG Chair
- Takes full responsibility for preparing the Session: The Agenda for the Session is the responsibility of the Moderator
- Liaises in advance, as necessary, with any speakers for the session
- Screens the "Lessons" repositories for items relevant to their session, and thus
- Prepares an agenda for the session; stimulates and moderates the discussion of the session, and
- Produces after the meeting, a written report with conclusions and lessons learned for the Session.
MODERATORS:
- We had to find room for a session on "EGSE/ILT/Smooth Transition".
- We must conclude the Thursday (last day) earlier than in the original programme, or we will lose half the people going to their flights! (Therefore I have moved the day-3 start-time to 09:00hrs. and made extensive revisions in the programme.)
- I believe we can subsume [ Downlink (non-DP) (Ground Segment interfaces, S/W development process, core HCSS S/W development, Mission Data Base (MDB - Versant)] into other defined sessions below??
