---++ Programme for the Herschel Lessons Learned Meeting: "Operations from Cradle to Grave" ---++ May 28-30, 2013 @ESAC Room D1+D2 The meeting emphasises discussion. Discussion will be fuelled by proposed "Lessons" recorded before (and during; and after) the meeting. at: * http://herschel.esac.esa.int/twiki/bin/view/HSC/HerschelLessons [There are subsidiary pages maintained by the ICCs, that should later be ported to the central system, at: * PACS : http://herschel.esac.esa.int/twiki/bin/view/Pacs/PacsLessonsLearned * SPIRE: http://herschel.esac.esa.int/twiki/bin/view/Spire/HOLL. * HIFI / NHSC / MOC : Are using the central system, link given above. The programme will be expanded into greater detail by the Session Moderators. The duties of the moderator go far beyond the duties of a normal session chair in a conference. The session moderator :==> * Reports to the HSOCG through the HSCOG Chair (L. Metcalfe) * Takes full responsibility for preparing the Session: The Agenda for the Session is the responsibility of the Moderator * Liaises in advance, as necessary, with any speakers for the session * Screens the "Lessons" repositories for items relevant to their session, and thus * Prepares an agenda for the session; stimulates and moderates the discussion of the session, and * Produces after the meeting, a written report with conclusions and lessons learned for the Session. Moderator Matrix page (Phil A. added link because he kept loosing it) http://herschel.esac.esa.int/twiki/bin/view/HSC/LessonSessions ---+++ Tuesday May 28th %MYTABLEFORMAT% | *Start - End* | *Duration
(min)* | *Title* | *Moderator* | *Room* | | 08:30 || Shuttle from Hotel Alberto Aguilera ||| | 09:30 - 09:40 |10| *Welcome, Logistics and Overview* (...) | Leo Metcalfe | D1+D2 | | 09:40 - 11:00 |80| *Historical Perspectives* (Mission / System Design approaches) | Peter Roelfsema | D1+D2 | | 11:00 - 11:30 |30| Coffee Break ||| | 11:30 - 12:30 |60| *Uplink & Downlink (non-DP)* (Uplink software (CUS, PHS/HSPOT, MPS/HILTS), ground segment interfaces, Downlink software (telemetry ingestion, data distribution, auxiliary processors), mission database (Versant)) | Jon Brumfitt | D1+D2 | | 12:30 - 13:30 |60| *[[%ATTACHURL%/DataProcessing_VGs.pdf][Data Processing]] - Part I* (User requirements, Scope of DP packages: internal vs external) | Bruno Merín | D1+D2 | | 13:30 - 14:30 |60| Lunch ||| | 14:30 - 15:30 |60| [[%ATTACHURL%/egse.pdf][EGSE/ILT/Smooth Transition]]:
Smooth transition and the ILT experience
EGSE systems in ILT/IST as a whole (SCOS-2000 + TOPE, EGSE router, Versant database, MIB, CUS, telemetry ingestion, test control, QLA systems, binstruct, spire_param, related HCSS framework components, CDMS simulator, miscellaneous tools) | Steve Guest | D1+D2 | | 15:30 - 16:00 |30| *Preparations for Launch and Early Operations* (...) | Larry O'Rourke | D1+D2 | | 16:00 - 16:30 |30| Coffee Break ||| | 16:30 - 17:15 |45| *Preparations for Launch and Early Operations* contd.
