Data retrieved from the HSA has been processed via the HIFI pipeline, each step of which is described in detail in the HIFI Pipeline Specification document. In this chapter we briefly describe what has been done to your data at each stage of the pipeline.

In the following sections we show pipeline flow diagrams from the Pipeline Specification Document . These diagrams follow flow diagram convention and the pipeline steps are denoted by white rectangles; calibration data, which is taken from the calibration tree or generated by the pipeline as indicated by the direction of the arrows, is identified by yellow parallelograms; choices that you can make are highlighted with green diamonds; while quality products are indicated in purple. The data input and output from each pipeline step is always a HifiTimeline Product (HTP), except for the creation of cubes at the end of the mapping pipeline, and these are shown by blue parallelograms.
