Dear Herschel colleagues,

You are still in time to register for the Herschel Data Processing Workshop 2012, that will take place at ESAC on 20-24 February.

As already announced in our latest Herschel e-News#19, the workshop, organised in collaboration with the ICCs and NHSC, will include overview talks about the Herschel Interactive Processing Environment (HIPE) and demos addressing a wide variety of data reduction topics, including hands-on sessions in which the participants will have the opportunity to work on their own data supported in person by instrument experts.

The first day of the workshop will be devoted to people who are relatively new to HIPE, while the rest of the days in the week will be oriented to more advanced users.

This workshop will constitute a unique opportunity for those of you who are at this moment involved in the data processing of Herschel observations with HIPE and would like to receive personalised support and guidance to reduce your Herschel observations.

Similar workshops, attended in person by instrument experts, are organised by the HSC once a year, with the next one being currently planned for early 2013. In the meantime, other training opportunities are the series of 'NHSC webinars' and 'HSC Data Reduction Telecons' that you can join on-line (see http://hipecommunity.wikispaces.com/ for more information).
