Users of Linux may find that the password field does not allow an entry to be made. This is a Java bug, unrelated to HSpot.
- Implication for user: Normally an inconvenience only.
- Recommended action: If this happens, almost invariably if you press submit without entering a password and accept the warning that you should enter a password, the problem will be fixed and the password field will allow entry. If this fails, the only solution may be to save your proposal and AORs to local disk and re-start your session.
There is a known problem in the system whereby, occasionally, the submission of a proposal may hang silently without returning the pop-up confirming successful submission. This only happens when the system is under heavy load such as closure of Calls for Proposals.
- Implication for user: Inconvenience only.
- Recommended action: If more than a minute passes without the pop-up being returned, the proposal submission should be aborted and repeated.
